  • Creating a complete database containing results from online questionnaires, anthropometric measurements, laboratory tests, sleep journals, actigraphy and polysomnography.

  • A study protocol “Understanding the associations of prenatal androgen exposure on sleep physiology, circadian proteins, anthropometric parameters, hormonal factors, quality of life and sex among healthy young adults – BOAT international, multicentre study” has been accepted for publication in JMIR Research Protocols journal.
  • Performance of laboratory tests in the first 20 study participants, financed by MINIATURA 4 scientific grant.

  • Beginning of the last phase of the study in Poland – actigraphy, polisomnography and laboratory tests.

  • Submission of the grant application in New Zealand – Scientific Grant of the Royal Society of New Zealand by Erik Wibowo PhD from University of Otago.
  • Beginning of the first phase of the study in Poland – online questionnaires.

  • Submission of the MINIATURA 4 grant application (competition organized by the National Science Centre of Poland) by Wojciech Kuczyński MD PhD, head of the study.
  • Beginning of preparation of the study protocol with our national and international collabolators..
  • Preparation of the questionnaires on our website.

  • Submission of the grant application (granty UMEDu – grants of the Students’ Scientific Society at the Medical University of Lodz) by student Aleksandra Kudrycka.

 

January 2020

  • Establishing cooperation with Erik Wibowo PhD from University of Otago in New Zealand (Department of Anatomy, School of Biomedical Sciences), official partner of the international, multicentre project under the management of Wojciech Kuczynski MD, Ph.D. Dr Wibowo is responsible for the analysis of sexological and anthropometric part of the study.
  • Establishing cooperation with MSc Paulina Pruszkowska-Przybylska PhD from University of Lodz in Poland, Research Associate at the Department of Anthropology at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection. MSc Pruszkowska-Przybylska is responsible for anthropometric measurements and bioelectrical impedance measurements.
  • Establishing cooperation with Prof. Mark Blagrove MD PhD from Swansea University in the United Kingdom (Department of Psychology, College of Human and Health Sciences), who became a Substantive Supervisor of the project in a somnological part and external project reviewer.
  • Establishing cooperation with Prof. John T. Manning MD PhD from Swansea University in the United Kingdom (Honorary Research Fellow, College of Engineering, Applied Sports, Technology, Exercise, and Medicine), who became a Substantive Supervisor of the project in an anthropological part and external project reviewer.

 

December 2019

  • Establishing cooperation with Prof. Ryujiro Sasanabe MD PhD, the Director of the Department of Sleep Medicine and Tetsuro Hoshino MD, Research Associate at the Department of Sleep Medicine at the Aichi Medical University, Japan. Prof. Sasanabe and Dr Hoshino are responsible for the part of the project conducted among young adults in Japan.

 

November 2019

  • Establishing cooperation with Łukasz Mokros MD PhD, Research Assistant at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the Faculty of Internal Diseases, Medical University of Lodz. Łukasz Mokros MD PhD is responsible for analysis of chronotype and actigraphy results.
  • Obtaining Ethical Approval of the Bioethics Committee of the Medical University of Lodz (number: RNN / 394/19 / KE).

 

October 2019

  • Submission of the application for Ethical Approval to the Bioethics Committee of the Medical University of Lodz.
  • Meeting with Professor John T. Manning from Swansea University in the United Kingdom. During the meeting, we presented conceptual assumptions of the project and requested supervision.
